Urmston Men’s 1st XI continued their pre-season preparations with a hard-fought 4-4 draw with Lancaster and Morecambe Men’s 1sts.
With a number of players missing for the friendly, the 1st team still had plenty of players eager to push for a place in the 1st XI squad this term, with Nasty settling into his coaching role with the team along with the introduction of Matt Downes and JD to the 1st XI fold.
The result wasn't the focus from both coach, captain and club captain Ollie Cooper! Processes needed to be enforced and the hard work from training implemented for the match to be a success.
Goals from Robin Cooper, Matt Downes, Andrew Power and Tom Dutoy built a 4-1 lead over the visitors before a late fightback with promising signs from the home team throughout.
The next outing for the team is an outing to Alderley Edge on Wednesday night (7:30 PB) for another high intensity Hockey Match.
See you there!
